Mötley Crüe Residency Update?
Last month the Las Vegas Sun reported that the group may be taking up a short-term residency at the Hard Rock Hotel. The paper, which noted that details at that point were “shrouded in secrecy,” said the residency would feature nearly a month’s worth of three- and four-night shows per week starting at the end of February.
If you click on Mötley Crüe’s website you’ll be greeted by a flyer that proclaims “Special Announcement.” Fans are told to tune in to Piers Morgan’s show on CNN Thursday, Dec. 1 at 9 p.m. EST / 6 p.m. PST as well as Friday, Dec. 2 at 9 p.m. EST / 6 p.m. PST.
During the past week the band has posted clues about the announcements on its Facebook page. The clues say: Most Notorious Band 2012. Red letters in the images are blocked out spelling “SIN 1.”
Tommy Lee tweeted earlier in the day Thursday that the final “Crüe Clue” will be posted tonight after the band’s appearance on Piers Morgan’s show.
The drummer isn’t the only one tweeting about the big news. Today Vince Neil tweeted a photo of the band with Morgan in front of the Whiskey A Go Go in West Hollywood, Calif., with the caption “Part 1 tonight! Part 2 tomorrow!!”
On Wednesday the Las Vegan Sun wrote that in addition to confirming the paper’s initial report about the residency, Mötley Crüe is expected to reveal some news about the movie based on the band’s book “The Dirt.”
