An Ohio woman pleaded guilty to scamming customers by promising concert tickets that never arrived.
Kathleen Kinsella reportedly netted $5,499 in the scam, placing ads on Craigslist that she had tickets for various concerts, notably
Potential customers would wire her money, often $100 to $200, and she sent them empty envelopes.
The Ohio Attorney General’s office reportedly fielded more than 60 complaints from as far away as Canada, San Francisco and Florida.
Kinsella pleaded guilty to a felony theft charge and faces up to one year in prison.
