Ryan Adams Announces Early 2012 Dates

Ryan Adams has added another run of U.S. gigs to his schedule starting in late January.

The singer/songwriter is touring in support of his new album, Ashes & Fire, released Oct. 11 on his own PAX-AM label and EMI’s Capitol. The album features guest appearances from Norah Jones and Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers keyboardist Benmont Tench.

The 2012 shows begin Jan. 24 in North Bethesda, Md., at Music Center At Strathmore with U.S. dates booked through Feb. 3 in Denver at Temple Hoyne Buell Theatre.

Adams will also play Cleveland (Jan. 25); Cincinnati (Jan. 28); Louisville, Ky. (Jan. 30); St. Louis (Jan. 31) and Kansas City, Mo. (Feb. 1).

On Jan. 27 Adams will headline the “Ann Arbor Folk Festival” in Ann Arbor, Mich., at the Hill Auditorium. The festival also features Emmylou Harris, Nanci Griffith, DeVotchKa, Dawes, Carbon Leaf and Glen Campbell.

He has another short tour to take care of before the year ends. On Friday he’ll play Philadelphia’s Academy Of Music, followed by U.S. gigs that wrap up Dec. 13 at Minneapolis’ The State Theatre.

An Australian and New Zealand trek is scheduled Feb. 25 through March 8.

The new U.S. dates go on sale Friday.
