Mötley Crüe Stakes Out A Vegas Run

Saying it’s going to be a show people will want to travel to, Mötley Crüe unveils its Las Vegas 2012 residency at The Joint @ Hard Rock Hotel / Casino in Sin City.

And what better city to host the self-proclaimed “most notorious band in history” than Vegas? With all the casinos, strip joints, tattoo parlors and 24/7 debauchery, the Crüe will feel right at home. Heck, the biggest problem might be convincing the band to leave Las Vegas after Vince Neil, Mick Mars, Tommy Lee and Nikki Sixx conclude their residency.

The mayhem runs Feb. 3-5, 8, 10-12, 14-15 & 17-19.

But don’t go thinking this will be the same Mötley Crüe show that you’ve seen in recent years. Not having to move a stage from city to city means the band can take their production standards to new heights, something the Hard Rock is very excited about.

“The one-of-a-kind production will be the most unique, interactive, fan-driven concert experience the band has ever created,” Hard Rock Hotel / Casino VP of Entertainment Paul Davis said in a statement. “Mötley Crüe is a perfect fit for the Hard Rock and we can’t wait for this unforgettable residency to begin!”

The band announced the Vegas run Thursday night on CNN’s “Piers Morgan Tonight.”

“I don’t know about you, but when I think of Mötley Crüe I think of filthy sex, drugs a really big show and way too much fun … sounds like Las Vegas doesn’t it?” Tommy Lee said. “A match made in heaven.”
