Steve Aoki Is ‘Deadmeat’ Come 2012

Arizona will be the first stop when celebrated DJ/producer/ electronic music wiz Steve Aoki launches his “Deadmeat” tour in Phoenix in mid-January.

Hailed as Aoki’s biggest tour yet, the tour will feature new live visual productions plus an all-star supporting lineup made up of up-and-coming producers such as Alvin Risk, Mustard Pimp, Autoerotique, Terravita and Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike appearing on alternating dates.

Of course, there’s an album connection for the tour. Scheduled for a Jan. 17 release, Wonderland marks Aoki’s studio album debut and will be released via Ultra Music and his own label, Dim Mak Records.

Speaking of Dim Mak, Aoki’s upcoming journey will include producer Datsik with the two launching the adventure in Phoenix at the Comerica Theatre Jan. 19. Other destinations include San Francisco at the Bill Graham Civic Auditorium Jan. 21; Denver’s Fillmore Jan. 26; Tulsa at Cain’s Ballroom Jan. 30; Atlanta at the Tabernacle Feb. 9; Boston’s House Of Blues Feb. 16; New York City at Roseland Ballroom Feb. 17 and Seattle’s Paramount Theatre March 9.

But the above dates represent only a small portion of the three-month excursion in store for Aoki and Datsik and you really have to eyeball the dates to appreciate just how extensive the “Deadmeat” tour will be. Plus, there are more than a few dates on the itinerary simply marked as “TBD (to be determined)” with city and venue still in the negotiation stages. In other words, if you don’t see your town on the schedule, check back tomorrow.
