Artist Voice Pushes Into Asia

After opening a New Zealand office in March, Australian talent agency Artist Voice is pushing into the Asian market.

It set up joint venture Artist Voice Asia with Hong Kong-based Untitled Entertainment, which will give it offices in Singapore, Hong Kong and mainland China.

Untitled Entertainment runs a touring circuit covering Hong Kong, Singapore, Taiwan, Indonesia and Malaysia. United has toured MGMT, Elbow, The Flaming Lips, Friendly Fires, Lenka, Hurts and The Whitest Boy Alive.

Set up by CEO Ronald Lo (who also runs Asia’s largest visual equipment rental Join Merit Media), business director Dash Nagata and music director Justin Sweeting, it is next year launching a Southeast Asia regional touring festival called The People’s Party anchored in Singapore.

“It is amazing to be collaborating with a partner with such strong experience in the Asian territory with a wide range of relationships in many of the key markets in the region,” said Brett Murrihy, Sydney-based CEO of Artist Voice. “Their energy, vision and reputable musical judgement are very much aligned with that of Artist Voice and we look forward to our new venture and the brilliant future that lies ahead.”

Added Nagata, “The timing is perfect and more importantly our two companies share the same vision for what we want to achieve with Artist Voice and where this can go. We see the potential for the relationship is immense and with so many opportunities to explore.”
