Ticketfly’s Fest Package

Ticketfly announced Dec. 5 an integrated ticketing solution for festivals that includes mobile apps, RFID technology and even a ridesharing component.

“While the festival industry is booming, so is the complexity in operating these large scale events,” Ticketfly co-founder Dan Teree said. “Festival organizers are forced to cobble together often incompatible, nonintegrated technologies at significant cost.”

Ticketlfy spokesman Gannon Hall told Pollstar the Festival Ticketing Solution can be modified by each festival. The package includes smartphone app Aloompa, data management platform DataFlow Workspace, website platform DoStuff Media, RFID software Intellitix and ridesharing app Zimride.

Broken down, Aloompa, which is used at fests like Bonnaroo and Outside Lands, is a mobile app that provides event data and ticketing capabilities.

DataFlow Workspace, used at events like ACL and Burning Man, manages festival event production. DoStuff provides customizable websites for the festival space. Intellitix can be used to power RFID wristbands, which in turn can be used by festivalgoers for cashless purchases.

The RFID technology, which has been emerging for the past couple of years, also provides promoters with information on festival traffic and trends.

Zimride.com offers free online ridesharing for events, organizations and businesses.
