Soulja Management Suit
Soulja (real name: DeAndre Cortez Way) claims he signed an “unconscionable, oppressive and unjust” management agreement with Philip Ransom, according to court documents obtained by TMZ, that gave Ransom 5 percent of Way’s income forever.
Another part of the agreement allegedly handed more than 50 percent of the rapper’s copyrights to his record label, which Way claims is “contrary to music industry custom and practice.”
Ransom has reportedly denied the allegations and filed a response claiming he’s still owed money from when he managed Way, TMZ said.
