Rod Does Jakarta
Jakarta will be the only Asian stop on the current leg of Rod Stewart’s Greatest Hits Tour, which will play the Jakarta Convention Center in Indonesia Jan. 31 before heading to Australia.
At a Dec. 11 press conference, Big Daddy Live Concert president Michael Rusli announced it would be Stewart’s first-ever visit to Indonesia.

“He rarely comes to Asia due to his very tight schedule,” Rusli said. “But he knows he has a lot of fans in Indonesia and he sees this as an opportunity to meet fans in Asia, and he, therefore, chose Indonesia.”
There will be no opening act.
The Jakarta Convention Center is said to have the best sound acoustics in Indonesia and seats about 3,000. The cost of the show is about IDR20 billion ($2.2 million), making it by far the most expensive concert ever staged by Big Daddy and co-presenter MP Enter.
Consequently, ticket prices ranged from IDR1.5 million to IDR15 million ($165-1,650).
