Cara Lewis Joins CAA

CAA has announced that Cara Lewis has officially joined the agency.

“Cara has built a remarkable career cultivating the careers of some of the most acclaimed artists in music today,” CAA music chief Rob Light said. “Her expertise of the urban market, ability to innovate, and keen eye for talent will be great assets to our continued growth.”

Lewis announced her exit from William Morris Endeavor in December, likely because of a contract dispute. Lewis, synonymous with hip-hop music, will likely bring clients with her to CAA but the company’s brief announcement did not mention details. Her roster included the likes of Kid Cudi, Tinie Tempah, Erykah Badu, Pitbull and The Roots.

Kanye West apparently ended his relationship with the agent but not with WME. Lewis will be based out of CAA’s New York office.
