Category For The Queen

Delaware state lawmakers have submitted a bill that would create a new liquor license category to accommodate a restored Queen Theatre in Wilmington.

The category for the 750-capacity World Café Live At The Queen that reopened last year would be “concert hall,” which is defined as an indoor facility that hosts live entertainment, can seat at least 600 people for a single event, offers at least 250 live music events a year, and is open at least five days a week.

The venue, which is operating with a temporary liquor license, is the only one in the area that fits that criteria.
