Bassnectar’s Vava Voom Tour

Electronic artist Bassnectar activates his GPS for another road trip, playing headline dates as well as festivals beginning in March.

These days it seems as if you can’t have a successful music festival without Bassnectar. During 2011 the DJ/producer played several multi-day events including Bonnaroo; the Hangout Beach, Music And Arts Festival in Gulf Shores, Ala.; Las Vegas’ Electric Daisy; the Pacific Northwest’s Sasquatch!; Camp Bisco on the East Coast; and Arkansas’ Wakarusa.

There’s plenty of festival action on Bassnectar’s 2012 routing with stops at South American Lollapaloozas in Chile, and Brazil. Stateside, Bassnectar is playing the Snowball Festival in Avon, Colo., March 3 and the Ultra Music Festival in Miami March 25.

Of course, the dates released today are for Bassnectar’s late winter / early spring outing, so there’s a very good chance we could be seeing more festival bookings as we get deeper into 2012.

Bassnectar’s “Vava Voom” tour begins in Salt Lake City at The Complex March 2. Other stops on the schedule include Las Vegas at Rain March 3; Indianapolis at the Egyptian Room April 11; Chicago at the Congress Theatre April 14; Boston’s House Of Blues April 18-19; Greenville, S.C., at the Bi-Lo Center April 27; Sacramento, Calif., at the Memorial Auditorium May 4 and Seattle at the WaMu Theatre May 12.

While you’re contemplating which dates fit into your own schedule, head on over to his official website for a free download of the Divergent Spectrum Remix EP that features remixes from Bassnectar as well as Terravita, Steve Aoki, The Glitch Mob, Beats Antique and ill.Gates.
