Kooky New Dates

The Kooks are making another trip across the Atlantic next month for a U.S. headline tour, followed by support gigs with Foster The People

The indie rock band, which hails from Brighton, U.K., is touring in support of its third album, Junk of the Heart. The album was released in September 2011 on Virgin Records and features the new radio single “How’d You Like That.”

The Kooks’ 2012 tour begins Feb. 28 at Las Vegas’ House Of Blues. The next day the group takes the stage at another House Of Blues in San Diego.

Additional headline dates include Pomona, Calif., at Fox Theater Pomona March 1; Indianapolis’ The Vogue March 5; Pittsburgh at Mr. Small’s Theatre March 6; New York City’s Terminal 5 March 7; New Haven, Conn., at Toad’s Place March 9; and Providence, R.I., at Lupo’s Heartbreak Hotel March 10.

The band has also booked a spot at the Snowball Music Festival in Avon, Colo., at Nottingham Park March 3.

After playing Central Park Summerstage in New York City May 29-30, The Kooks join Foster The People on tour. The support dates include stops in Columbus, Ohio (June 1); Grand Prairie, Texas (June 4); Austin (June 5); Alpharetta, Ga. (June 7) and Columbia, Md. (June 10).

Tickets for the February/March headline shows go on sale Friday.
