Conspirator Plots ‘Blizzard Of Beats’

Featuring Disco Biscuits’ Marc Brownstein and Aron Magner, Conspirator locks down its latest adventure with new dates all the way through April.

While speaking with Pollstar during Conspirator’s fall tour, Brownstein described the group as “more electronic, more like an electrohouse thing” than the Disco Biscuits.

“With Conspirator we can come in and be more of a DJ act that’s augmented by instruments than the Biscuits which is an improv act that is augmented by sounds,” Brownstein told Pollstar in September.

Of course, mere words, even from the group’s founder, aren’t enough and you really have to see Conspirator in action to discover what the band is about. With a journey beginning Feb. 2 in Breckenridge, Colo., and running through April 28 when Brownstein & Co. roll into New York City’s Irving Plaza, the Blizzard Of Beats tour gives you plenty of chances to check them out.

New dates on the schedule include New Haven, Conn., at Toad’s Place March 1; Syracuse, N.Y., at The Wescott Theater March 3; Solana Beach in Southern California at the Belly Up Tavern March 22; Athens, Ga., at Georgia Theatre Feb. 20; and Philadelphia’s Trocadero Theatre April 27.

Conspirator will also appear at the LIFT Festival March 16.  The two-day event at New Hampshire’s Whaleback Mountain March 16 & 17 also has Ghostland Observatory, Paper Diamond, Orchard Lounge, Danger, Break Science, The Indobox, Alpha Data, AIMES and McLovins on the lineup.

Joining Conspirator will be Pendulum drummer KJ Sawka. For more info on the tour, visit ConspiratorBand.com, and click here to read Pollstar’s interview with Marc Brownstein.
