Perhaps the most unique live event this week wasn’t a concert but a political gathering that took place today at the College Of Charleston in South Carolina. Photos of Stephen Colbert’s “Rock Me Like a Herman Cain South Cain-olina Primary Rally” after the jump.

Viewers of Comedy Central’s “The Colbert Report” know what today’s rally was all about. Last week Colbert told viewers that he was launching an “exploratory committee” to determine if he should run for “President Of The United States Of South Carolina.”

Of course, it’s way too late in the game to get on the ballot for tomorrow’s South Carolina Primary and write-in candidates are not allowed. But even though Cain has already dropped out of the GOP race for the presidential nomination, his name is still on the ballot.

Which one do you suppose is getting the famous Colbert Bump?

So Colbert is urging his South Carolina fans to select Cain, saying a vote for the most famous Pizza Man in America would be a strong message that people want him (Colbert) to run.

Thus today’s rally which drew students looking to get out of their classes, people worried about the size of the current bear population and some expecting free pizza.
