Function (X) Revealed

The mystery surrounding former “American Idol” and CKX owner Robert Sillerman’s company Function (X) is over.

Function (X) announced Jan. 18 it’s rolling out Viggle, a rewards-based loyalty program for TV watchers.

The service, which will initially be available through the iTunes app store, will reward users for checking into TV shows with points that can be redeemed with a number of companies including Burger King, Sephora, Fandango and Hulu Plus.

The app will also allow users to link Viggle to their Facebook and Twitter accounts. Sillerman is drawing a $1 million salary with the new venture.
