40/40 Club Restart

Jay-Z’s star-studded Jan. 18 reopening of his 40/40 Club in NYC after a multimillion-dollar facelift hit a snag when its kitchen was shut down for health code violations.

The venue’s restaurant was shuttered Jan. 19 after health inspectors found violations including failing to keep refrigerated food cold enough, hot food hot enough and employees preparing food without wearing gloves.

The problems were said to be corrected by Jan. 20 and the restaurant back in business.
