Set Sail Fights Deportation

Sydney folk-rockers Set Sail are battling to get U.S.-born singer Brandon Hoogenboom back into Australia to finish off dates in March. He was deported Jan. 13 for breaching his tourist visa by playing shows on the act’s Chasing Summer tour.

Set Sail admits they thought that if they did not pay him, he would be considered not working.

“Many people are working behind the scenes to get Brandon back into the country on a 420 entertainment visa and we are quietly confident that Brandon will meet the immigration departments criteria and will issue him a new visa in due course,” Harbour Agency stated.
