Depending on how you look at it, 2011 was either a great year for the British songbird or one of the worst years anyone could have. Touring in support of her critically praised best selling album, 21, Adele couldn’t shake the vocal problems that plagued her throughout the year, resulting in rescheduled dates and canceled shows. Impending throat surgery in October forced the chanteuse to cancel her remaining 2011 dates.

Now Adele is set to perform at the Grammys. Already a two-time Grammy winner, Adele is up for six gold-plated gramophones, including record of the year, song of the year and album of the year.

“I’m immensely proud to have been asked to perform at this year’s Grammy Awards,” Adele said. “It’s an absolute honor to be included in such a night, and for it to be my first performance in months is very exciting and of course nerve-racking, but what a way to get back into it all.”

Hosted by LL Cool J, the Grammy Awards will take place at Los Angeles’ Staples Center and air live (in some time zones) on CBS Feb. 12 at 8 p.m. ET. You can bask in the sonic glory that is Grammy by visiting the official website. Just click here.
