Feist Announces Spring Tour
“The Bad In Each Other” is the first track on Feist’s fourth studio album, Metals. The album was released in the fall, just in time to make the top of numerous “Best of 2011” lists. The New York Times even picked Metals, and its “songs of heartache, solitude and eventual solace,” as the No. 1 album of the year.
Feist began her 2012 schedule over the weekend in Brisbane, Australia, at “St. Jerome’s Laneway Festival.” Additional Laneaway shows are booked in Australia and Singapore through Feb. 12, followed by a gig in Indonesia Feb. 15. After that the Canadian singer/songwriter will bring Metals to Europe for a tour March 6-27.
Her U.S. spring tour kicks off with two dates at Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival April 14 and April 21 in Indio, Calif. Feist will also play New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival April 28.
U.S. headline shows include Phoenix’s Orpheum Theatre (April 22); Austin at Stubb’s Bar-B-Q (April 26); Indianapolis at the Egyptian Room (April 30); Asheville, N.C., at Thomas Wolfe Auditorium (May 2); NYC’s Radio City Music Hall (May 5); and Burlington, Vt., at Flynn Center For The Performing Arts (May 11).
