Simply New Shins Dates

The Shins’ next batch of headline dates has the band headed to amphitheaters across the U.S. in late May.

The indie rock band is taking preorders for its fourth album, Port Of Morrow. The album, which is the band’s first release since 2007’s Wincing The Night Away, is due out March 20 through frontman James Mercer’s new record label, Aural Apothecary via Columbia Records.

Pre-order bundles, priced between $9.99 and $152.98, are available featuring your choice of your choice of Vinyl LP, CD or digital album download and extras including a tote bag, T-shirt, and/or a reel-to-reel tape of the album. All pre-orders come with a free digital MP3 download of the single “Simple Song.”

In addition to announcing the new leg of shows, this week The Shins also posted a link to a free stream of “September,” the B-side to “Simple Song.”
