Ticketfly Sales Double

Independent social ticketing platform Ticketfly apparently had a stellar 2011, recently reporting that ticket sales, revenues and new client acquisitions doubled during that period.

Specifically, the company noted its clients experienced a 16 percent year-over-year increase in sales for 2011, compared to a ticket-industry standard of 2.7 percent for the same period.

Ticketfly CEO Andrew Dreskin chalked up the growth to the company’s product innovations, which focus heavily on the social experience and Facebook integration.

“As technology drives growth and makes it easier for fans to discover events based on their tastes and social connections, Ticketfly will continue to innovate, providing fans with the best, most personalized experience,” Ticketfly VP Gannon Hall said.

Recent clients to sign on with Ticketfly include Capitol Theatre in Port Chester, N.Y., Philly’s Trocadero Theatre and Union Transfer, Preservation Hall in New Orleans and Danny Zelisko Presents.

The company has also announced new partnerships with companies including Intellitix, Aloompa and, most recently, ScoreBig, which provides promoters and venues with an online platform to move unsold tickets at a discount without negatively impacting their brand.
