Supergroup Series Slated

Is there room for another music competition reality series? A couple of Nashville music veterans seem to think so.

Gary Bridges and Kevin Wayne are pitching networks with a rock and country music competition that would feature musicians competing to become members of a band, according to Deadline Hollywood.

American Supergroup will apparently follow the typical reality competition tropes with nationwide auditions and TV audience voting.

Glen Parrish of Azoff, Geary, Paul, Smith Management is already on board to manage the group, the blog noted, and talks with Live Nation to book a tour are reportedly in the works.

Other notables involved include CAA’s Rod Essig, who will handle the music, Deadline said.
