New U.S. Dates For Christina Perri

Singer-songwriter Christina Perri has had a busy Valentine’s Day so far. In addition to performing on “Live! with Kelly” and hosting a livestream on TheDailyLove.com, today she announced dates for her 2012 U.S. headline tour.

Oh, and Perri also shared her Valentine’s Day playlist on AOL.com with tunes from the Beatles, Elton John, Billy Joel, Bright Eyes, Coldplay, Adele and St. Vincent.

But back to those new tour dates. The spring shows mark the latest leg of Perri’s tour in support of her debut album, Lovestrong. The album, which was released in May 2011, includes the singles “Jar Of Hearts” and “Arms.”

Her latest single, “A Thousand Years,” is included on “The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1” soundtrack.

Perri, who was named iTunes’ Breakthrough Pop Artist of 2011, toured the United Kingdom, along with a one-off show in Ireland, in January. She’ll return to the road April 30 to launch her U.S. tour in Asheville, N.C., at The Orange Peel.

The tour includes stops at New York City’s Webster Hall May 4; New Haven, Conn., at Toad’s Place May 8; Grand Rapids, Mich., at The Intersection May 10; Des Moines, Iowa, at Wooly’s May 14; and Madison, Wis., at the Majestic Theatre May 18.

The last date on the routing is May 20 in Columbus, Ohio, at Newport Music Hall.

Sleeping At Last, who also have a track on the “Breaking Dawn – Part 1” soundtrack, provide support on all dates.

Pre-sale tickets went on sale today to Perri’s newsletter subscribers. A VIP package option is available including entrance to an exclusive meet & greet. Additional pre-sale tickets will be available Wednesday and Thursday. Remaining tickets will go on sale to the general public Friday.
