8 Nights Of Kraftwerk

Germany’s electronic-music pioneering band will perform its entire catalog during an eight-night consecutive run at New York City’s Museum Of Modern Art.

Called “Kraftwerk – Retrospective 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8” and running April 10-17 in MoMA’s Donald B. and Catherine C. Marron Atrium, each night will feature the band performing one of its albums along with other selections from its catalog.

Presenting its albums in chronological order, Kraftwerk will also deliver 3D visualizations of each disc.

Here’s the rundown

April 10 – Autobahn (1974)
April 11 – Radio-Activity (1975)
April 12 – Trans Europe Express (1977)
April 13 – The Man-Machine (1978)
April 14 – Computer World (1981)
April 15 – Techo Pop (1986)
April 16 – The Mix (1991)
April 17 – Tour de France (2003)

Sponsored by Volkswagen, the Kraftwerk shows are part of a multiyear partnership between the auto manufacturer, MoMA and MoMA PS1 and mark the museum’s first ever live, time-based retrospective.

Show times vary depending on the night. Performances scheduled for April 10-12 & 14-16 begin at 8:30 p.m. while April 13 and April 17 shows begin at 10 p.m.
