More North American Dates For Florence & The Machine

Florence & The Machine have added another leg of shows in the U.S. and Canada that includes gigs in Washington, Colorado, Michigan and Ohio.

The new dates are part of the English indie rock band’s 2012 world tour in support of its 2011 sophomore studio album, Ceremonials.

After taking care of the band’s European tour booked March 2 through April 3, Florence & The Machine’s first round of U.S. dates begins April 14 at the Santa Barbara Bowl in Santa Barbara, Calif. The leg concludes May 12 in Atlantic City at the Borgata Hotel, Casino & Spa.

The tour routing then takes Florence and the band to Australia and New Zealand May 17-28, followed by appearances at Rock Werchter Festival in Belgium, July 1 and Optimus Alive! Festival in Lisbon, Portugal, July 14.    

The new North American shows begin July 20 in Burnaby, British Columbia, at Deer Lake Park.

U.S. stops are scheduled at Auburn, Wash., at White River Amphitheatre July 21; Troutdale, Ore., at McMenamins Edgefield Amphitheatre July 22; Morrison, Colo., at Red Rocks Amphitheatre July 25; Indianapolis’ Lawn At White River State Park July 29; Cleveland’s Jacobs Pavilion At Nautica July 30; and Detroit’s Fox Theatre July 31.

The band has one more Canadian stop – Aug. 2 at Toronto’s Molson Canadian Amphitheatre.

Tickets for the Indianapolis show go on sale March 2. All of the other new North American dates go on sale this Friday, Feb. 24.
