Coldplay Confirms Support Acts

Swedish electro-pop star Robyn and British alternative rock band Wolf Gang are two of the acts helping fans get warmed up for Coldplay’s North American spring tour.

Additional support acts on the tour include British electronic music group Metronomy, New York-based psychedelic/folk rock band The Pierces, Welsh indie pop singer/songwriter Marina and the Diamonds, and British soul singer/songwriter Emeli Sandé.

The first leg of the North American tour begins April 17 in Edmonton, Alberta, at the Rexall Place and concludes with three nights at Los Angeles’ Hollywood Bowl May 1-2 and May 4.

After a European excursion booked May 18 through June 10, Coldplay returns to this side of the pond for another North American leg that begins in Dallas with two nights at the American Airlines Center June 22-23. U.S. and Canadian shows are booked through a two-night stand in Saint Paul, Minn., at the Xcel Energy Center Aug. 10-11. After that Coldplay has another round of European dates on its plate Aug. 28 through Sept. 22.

Here’s what the North American support schedule looks like. Metronomy and The Pieces open April 17 through May 4, with the exception of the April 21 show in Vancouver, British Columbia, at Rogers Arena, which only features The Pieces.
