Touring in support of his debut album, Let Them Talk, the British actor’s musical side is well known to fans. His TV special, “Let Them Talk – A Celebration of New Orleans Blues,” is set for an encore performance on PBS during the network’s pledge period in March. Filmed in New Orleans’ French Quarter, the program includes guest appearances by Allen Toussaint, Irma Thomas and Sir Tom Jones. Let Them Talk has already been certified gold in the U.K.

Starting in Southern California and then working up the coast, the tour begins in Solana Beach near San Diego at the Belly Up Tavern May 22. Other destinations include San Juan Capistrano at The Coach House May 23; Los Angeles’ El Rey Theatre May 24; Turlock, Calif., at the Community Theatre May 26; San Francisco at Great American Music Hall May 27; Portland at Arlene Schnitzer Concert Hall June 1 and Spokane at Martin Woldson Theater at The Fox June 3. Last stop is Seattle’s Benaroya Hall June 4.

Who has got the chops to back Dr. House Laurie? Copper Bottom Band consists of drummer Jay Bellerose, Kevin Breit on guitars, Vincent Henry on horns, bassist David Piltch and Patrick Warren on keyboards/accordion.
