More Heart & Soul For Rod & Stevie

Rod Stewart and Stevie Nicks had such a good time sharing the stage on their spring 2011 co-headline “Heart & Soul Tour” that the legendary singers are teaming up once again for a round of dates this summer.

Last year’s 18-concert arena tour featured two sold-out shows at both New York City’s Madison Square Garden and Los Angeles’ Hollywood Bowl. Fans were treated to 3+ hour shows that opened with favorite tunes from Nicks and closed with hits from Stewart, along with a few duets in-between.

“I couldn’t be happier to be back on the boards with Stevie this summer,” Stewart said. “We had fantastic fun on the road together last spring and I’m thrilled at the chance to bring it to new cities and fans this summer.”

So far, four dates have been announced for the summer “Heart & Soul Tour.” The fun begins July 20 in Cleveland at the Quicken Loans Arena.

Additional stops include Cincinnati’s Riverbend Music Center July 21, Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena July 24, and Pittsburgh’s Consol Energy Center July 28.

Before the tour begins, Stewart will play another set of residency shows at Las Vegas’ The Colosseum At Caesars Palace. The performances are scheduled March 24-25, March 28, March 31, April 1, April 4 and April 6-7. On April 14 Stewart will be in Cleveland to take part in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Annual Induction Ceremony as a member of Faces, following his previous induction as a solo artist in 1994.

Nicks, who was inducted into the Hall of Fame as a member of Fleetwood Mac in 1998, released her seventh studio album, In Your Dreams in May 2011 as her first studio effort since 2001’s Trouble In-Shangri-La. Stewart’s most recent release is 2010’s Fly Me To The Moon … The Great American Songbook Volume V.

Tickets for the summer “Heart & Soul Tour” go on sale next Friday, March 2.
