Dungan Running UMG Nashville

Mike Dungan is reportedly going to run the Nashville businesses of Universal Music Group.

The appointment of Dungan, who was located at Capitol/EMI Nashville, was announced to employees in an email from EMI CEO Roger Faxon, according to the Tennessean.

It is not clear how the announcement affects Luke Lewis, CEO of UMG Nashville for more than a decade, but Dungan’s appointment is no surprise to many in the industry and is viewed as the first of many shifts at UMG, which purchased EMI for $1.9 billion in November.
