Foo Fighters Cancel Japan

Just weeks following their Grammy triumph and on the eve of their mostly sold-out Asian tour, the Foo Fighters say they had to cancel after a doctor warned that Dave Grohl’s voice needs rest.

“We deeply regret having to cancel,” the band posted on Japanese promoter Smash’s website. “It wasn’t an easy decision by any stretch but after carefully considering medical advice, we felt we had no choice.

“We hate to disappoint our fans in Japan and hope you’ll all understand and that we’ll see you all in the not too distant future.”

The band had five sold-out shows in Japan March 7-11. They were also scheduled to play in Singapore.
