Foo Fighters Cancel Japan

Just weeks following their Grammy triumph and on the eve of their mostly sold-out Asian tour, the Foo Fighters say they have to cancel their tour after a doctor warned that Dave Grohl’s voice needs rest.

“We deeply regret having to cancel,” the band posted on Japanese promoter Smash’s website. “It wasn’t an easy decision by any stretch but after carefully considering medical advice, we felt we had no choice.

“We hate to disappoint our fans in Japan and hope you’ll all understand and that we’ll see you all in the not too distant future.”

The band had scheduled five sold-out shows in Japan March 7-11. They had also planned to play in Singapore March 2. Foo Fighters’ next performance is April 1 at Lollapalooza Chile in Santiago at the Elipse Del Parque O’Higgins.
