Coheed And Cambria Spring Tour
The progressive rock band has been working on their sixth studio album, the follow-up to 2010’s Year Of The Black Rainbow. A few months ago Coheed And Cambria announced that drummer Josh Eppard had rejoined the lineup following the group’s split with Chris Pennie. Eppard previously performed with the band between 2000-2006.
“These will be Josh’s first shows with us in a long time, and we hope you can come show him some Southern Hospitality for his return! We’ll be working out some new songs and a bunch you already know,” the band wrote on its Tumblr page.
The tour begins April 29 in Charlottesville, Va., at the Jefferson Theater and runs through a May 17 gig in Baton Rouge, La., at the Varsity Theatre.
Stops include Charleston, S.C. (April 30); Gainesville, Fla. (May 3); Athens, Ga. (May 5); Chattanooga, Tenn. (May 7); Lexington, Ky. (May 10); Urbana, Ill. (May 11) and Birmingham, Ala. (May 16). Moving Mountains and Pianos Become The Teeth are opening the tour.
Coheed And Cambria will also play the Beale Street Music Festival May 6 in Memphis and Hangout Beach, Music And Arts Festival May 18 in Gulf Shores, Ala.
Support dates with Iron Maiden are booked July 24 through Aug. 18 in the U.S. and Canada.
Tickets go on sale to the public for select dates beginning March 2. The Iron Maiden tickets also go on sale beginning Friday.
