Released in 1972, Hot August Night was Diamond’s second live album. Recorded during one of 10 sold-out nights at the Greek just months earlier, the album cemented Diamond’s reputation as one of the best live acts, showcasing the singer/songwriter going through his cavalcade of hits. The album title comes from the first line of Diamond’s 1969 single “Brother Love’s Traveling Salvation Show.”

Now Diamond is planning to return to the scene of success, scheduling Aug. 11 and 16 for his 40th anniversary Hot August Night return.

A special ticket presale for American Express cardholders begins today. Click here for more information. The general onsale launches March 5. For more information, visit the Greek Theatre’s website and Neil Diamond’s Web abode.
