Tiger Jam 2012
The 2012 Tiger Jam takes place April 28 in Las Vegas at the Mandalay Bay Events Center. Proceeds help raise money for the Tiger Woods Foundation’s college-access programs, which help underserved youth in all stages of academic life.
In addition to a headline performance from Jon Bon Jovi and friends, the event includes an opening set from singer-songwriter David Cook, who was crowned the seventh season “American Idol” in 2008.
Bon Jovi previously performed at Tiger Jam in 2003 and 2007.
“It’s truly an honor to have Jon headline Tiger Jam,” Tiger Woods said. “Over the years he’s never hesitated to lend his time and talents to my Foundation and I’m so grateful for that.”
Tiger Jam begins with a VIP reception at the House Of Blues featuring gourmet fare and exclusive live and silent auctions of one-of-a-kind luxury items.
Since its launch in 1998, Tiger Jam has raised more than $13 million for the foundation’s programs. The Tiger Woods Learning Centers helps kids in grades 5-12 with hands-on experiences in technology, engineering and math along with college preparation workshops. The Earl Woods Scholarship Program has helped send scholars off to prestigious universities such as Georgetown, USC, UC Berkeley, UCLA and Harvard thanks to its admissions counseling, college scholarships, dedicated mentors, specialized internships and workshops.
Tickets, which start at $70, go on sale to the general public this Saturday, March 3 at 10 a.m.
