Construction Begins On Georgia Auditorium

Officials say about $5 million in construction projects are getting started at James Brown Arena and Bell Auditorium in Augusta.

The Augusta Chronicle reports that the projects are funded by the Augusta-Richmond County Coliseum Authority’s $22.1 million bond issue.

Among the improvements to the arena is a new VIP club lounge accessible by patrons who purchase memberships.

The bond issue is also funding construction of the new Trade, Exhibit and Event Center in the east Georgia city.
