Zelisko’s Vegas Pearl

What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas, according to the marketing campaign. And the same holds true for Phoenix-based Danny Zelisko, who’s just added The Pearl at Palms Casino Resort in Sin City to his independent company’s promotion portfolio.

Of course, Zelisko has a long history in Las Vegas, including the co-promotion of the Grateful Dead’s legendary run of shows at UNLV’s Sam Boyd Stadium from 1991-95.

Zelisko launched his company, Danny Zelisko Presents, last year after a stint as part of the SFX/Clear Channel/Live Nation conglom during which he continued promoting regularly in Las Vegas.

And with the exception of a Bob Seger show in December and a May 5 Styx/REO Speedwagon/Ted Nugent show, the deal with The Palms marks his first foray in venue booking in Vegas as DZP.

“We’re thrilled to be working with Danny Zelisko Presents. Danny’s experience in the music industry is longstanding and we look forward to bringing even more awareness of our entertainment venues to a wider range of artists,” Palms Casino Resort President Joseph Magliarditi said.

“Danny has worked with the ‘who’s who’ of the music industry. His experience in booking venues of all capacities makes him an ideal fit to assist with bookings at the resort,” added Billy Conn, Palms Casino Resort’s VP of entertainment and special events.

The Pearl, with its 2,500 capacity, also books in-house, and Zelisko joins AEG and Live Nation among the venue’s outside promoters.
