Rosen Takes Back Seat At Outbox
Fred Rosen is shifting his role at Outbox Technologies, the company that is fueling AEG’s ticketing system, Axs.
Rosen, the force that built Ticketmaster, was named co-CEO of Outbox last year, joining forces with his former associate Jean-Francois Brousseau. Outbox, which was announced as the white-label system that would operate AEG’s alternative to Ticketmaster last February, had already proven itself as a stalwart company, having sold ducats for Cirque du Soleil.
Rosen has voluntarily decided to move to the role of vice chairman, sources told Pollstar, and Francois Brousseau will take the sole mantle of CEO. Rosen, 68, has apparently come to the conclusion that he no longer has the desire for the daily grind of a CEO position and his new role will be far less active.
He will keep all his equity, sources said.
