Cops Probe Shooting After Kansas Concert, 1 Dead
Police in Kansas say they expect to release more information Monday about a weekend shooting that left one person dead and four others wounded after a Wichita concert featuring R&B singer Pleasure P.
The Wichita Eagle reported someone fired shots after a fight broke out around 2 a.m. Saturday after the concert in Wichita’s Old Town entertainment district. Police say they chased one suspect into a parking garage where they were shot at and officers fired back.
Police have reported no arrests and declined to identify the person who died or elaborate on the others who were wounded.
Police Sgt. Bruce Watts said more information would be released Monday, but he didn’t elaborate.
Witnesses told the paper seven or eight shots were fired.
