More North American Headline Shows For James McCartney

James McCartney was just getting warmed up when he started the year with a very brief run of U.S. gigs. In May he’ll be back in the states for a month-long tour that includes his largest headlining shows to date.

The tour begins May 11 in Amityville, N.Y., at Ollie’s Point Bar & Grill. Next the British musician/songwriter heads to Canada for two shows – Montreal’s Petit Campus May 13 and Toronto’s Great Hall On Queen Street May 15.

U.S. stops on the route include Chicago’s Bottom Lounge May 22; West Hollywood’s The Roxy Theatre May 31; San Diego’s House Of Blues June 4; New York City’s The Gramercy Theatre June 7 and Philadelphia’s World Café Live June 10. The last show on the books is June 11 in Silver Spring, Md., at The Fillmore Silver Spring.

McCartney will also take the stage at a few festivals. May 19 he plays The Bamboozle New Jersey in Asbury Park and May 25 is Sasquatch! Music Festival in Quincy, Wash.

Select dates are on sale now. Tickets for Toronto and New York City go on sale March 29. Philadelphia’s onsale is March 30.

McCartney’s most recent release is 2011’s The Complete EP Collection, which features McCartney’s two previous EPs – Close At Hand and Available Light – along with five never-heard bonus tracks. The two-disc set was produced by his father, Paul McCartney, and David Kahne.
