The Temper Trap Take On More U.S. Dates

With an upcoming album on the way, The Temper Trap has planned another 2012 trip to North America for June.

The Australian indie rock band’s self-titled sophomore album is due out May 18 in Australia/New Zealand, May 21 in Europe and June 5 in the U.S. The 12-track follow-up to 2009’s Conditions is Temper Trap’s first release featuring guitarist/keyboard player Joseph Greer as a permanent member of the band.

This weekend Temper Trap will wrap up its early 2012 North American tour with Friday’s show in Brooklyn, N.Y., and Saturday’s show in Washington, D.C.

The next leg of U.S. and Canadian dates begins June 6 at New York City’s Terminal 5, followed by a June 7 gig at Boston’s House Of Blues.

After playing Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival in Manchester, Tenn., June 9, stops on the route include Dallas House Of Blues June 10; San Diego House Of Blues June 13; San Francisco’s Warfield Theatre June 16; Seattle’s Showbox SoDo June 18; and Vancouver, British Columbia, at Malkin Bowl June 19.

Temper Trap’s upcoming schedule also has U.K. dates scheduled May 9-22, Australian shows May 29 through June 2, and European appearances between June 25 and July 21.

A pre-sale for the Vancouver show begins April 4. Dallas’ onsale is April 6. The band’s website promises that tickets for the rest of the U.S. dates will go on sale soon.
