Michael Kiwanuka Announces U.S. Dates

The 24-year-old British soul singer/songwriter will return to the states for a short run of shows in June, weeks before the U.S. release of his debut full-length album.

Audiences in Michael Kiwanuka’s home turf have certainly taken a liking to the musician. Last spring he opened for Adele on her U.K. and Europe tour. Communion Records, the U.K. indie label founded by Mumford and Sons’ Ben Lovett, released Kiawnuka’s first EPs last year – Tell Me A Tale and I’m Getting Ready. In January the BBC Sounds of 2012 list, which rounds up the most promising new music talent, crowned Kiwanuka as its winner. Previous winners include Adele, Ellie Goulding, Corinne Bailey Rae and Keane.
