This Machine is due out April 24 via On The End Records. The album was recorded with longtime engineer/producer Jeremy Sherrer and mixed by Tchad Blake, who had done recent work with acts such as The Black Keys and Pearl Jam, in addition to previously mixing 1997’s The Dandy Warhols Come Down and 2005’s Odditorium or Warloads of Mars.

The track “Autumn Carnival” was co-written by Dandy lead singer/guitarist Courtney Taylor-Taylor and David J of Love and Rockets.

“We’ve been told that it’s our gothiest,” Taylor-Taylor said. “I thought it was our grungiest so I’m really hoping it’s a hit with goths who are … um, really outdoorsy?” He’s also described the album as “stripped down, woody and extremely guitar centric.”

After getting back from a spring European excursion booked April 14-30, the North American tour begins May 16 in San Francisco at The Fillmore. The tour takes the Dandy Warhols across the states and then ends back on the West Coast with a June 17 gig in Seattle at Showbox At The Market.

Stops on the route include Scottsdale, Ariz., at The Roxy Lounge May 20; Philadelphia’s Trocadero Theatre May 30; Toronto’s Phoenix Concert Theatre June 3; New York City at Irving Plaza Powdered By Klipsch June 5; Chicago at Metro/Smart Bar June 10; and Vancouver, British Columbia, at the Commodore Ballroom June 15.

A presale is ongoing now for select dates. Fans that sign up for the Dandy Warhol’s email list will receive the presale password along with a free song too. Additional presales, as well as general ticket onsales, are scheduled throughout the week.
