Denham Rapper Arrested

The Livingston Parish Sheriff’s Office says deputies got a search warrant for a Denham Springs-area rapper’s home after his latest CD cover showed him with a handgun, kneeling over a body.

WAFB-TV reports that Keith Johnson _ rapper O G Smoov _ is jailed in lieu of $150,000 bond. Deputies allegedly found a .25-caliber handgun and illegal drugs in his home.

The sheriff’s office says Johnson is a convicted felon who cannot legally possess a firearm.

It says deputies also found a pound of marijuana and three doses of Alprazolam. Johnson was booked with possessing a firearm after a felony conviction, possessing a firearm with an illegal drug, possessing Alprazolam and possessing marijuana with intent to distribute it.

It was not clear whether he had an attorney.
