A Case Of The Alabama Shakes

Bluesy rock band Alabama Shakes announces a summer headlining tour beginning on the East Coast in July.

It has been a good year for Alabama Shakes. The band’s debut album, Boys & Girls, was an instant hit and the group has plenty of dates to keep busy, including a stretch with Jack White beginning May 15 in Nashville.

You’ll also have several chances to see Alabama Shakes at multi-day music behemoths including the Hangout Beach, Music & Arts Festival in Gulf Shores, Ala., May 18; Sasquatch! in Quincy, Wash. May 26; Bonnaroo near Manchester, Tenn., June 7; Rhode Island’s Newport Folk Festival July 28; Lollapalooza in Chicago Aug. 4 and San Francisco’s Outside Lands sometime during the Aug. 10-12 weekend.

Alabama Shakes’ new summer headline shows include July 29 in Baldwinsville, N.Y., at the Budweiser Paper Mill Amphitheatre July 29; Indianapolis at The Vogue July 31; Minneapolis at First Avenue Aug. 2; Los Angeles at The Fonda Aug. 14 and San Diego’s House Of Blues Aug. 16.

Alabama Shakes will also perform a free show at New York City’s Central Park Summerstage June 24.
