Jones’ press rep issued an announcement saying dates ranging from his scheduled April 28 engagement in Caruthersville, Mo., at the Lady Luck Casino to his May 20 gig in Yarmouth, Nova Scotia, at the Mariner Center have been postponed. Other shows now off the schedule include Pembroke, Ontario (May 11), Rama, Ontario (May 12), Kahnawake, Quebec (May 13), Halifax, Nova Scotia (May 15), and New Brunswick towns Bouctouche (May 18) and New Glasgow (May 19).

While not healthy enough to perform, Jones is apparently well enough to take a feud with his family public. The singer posted a video on his website and YouTube saying he would “like to apologize” for his daughter and her new husband, saying they were spreading “bad things” about him “on the Internet and Facebook.”

In response, his daughter, Georgette Lennon, denied making any defamatory statements about her pop. Lennon is Jones’ daughter from his marriage to country great Tammy Wynette.

“All I’ve ever wanted is to have a relationship with my dad and for him to know how much I love him and for him to love me and want to be a part of my life,” Lennon said during an interview with Associated Press. “I had hoped that we could resolve this between the two of us privately and at some point he would talk to me. Unfortunately, things have escalated even further.”
