Two members of the Bangor, Maine, city council reportedly aren’t thrilled that
The always-outspoken Nugent, stumping for Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney, shared his thoughts on the Obama Administration. “We need to ride into that battlefield and chop their heads off in November,” the performer said. Nugent also said he’ll be “dead or in jail” if Obama is re-elected.
Secret Service agents met with Nugent and determined his comments weren’t a threat, so they closed the case.
City Councilor Charlie Longo said that if Nugent could make such “threatening comments” he doesn’t belong on a stage there, but to no avail.

Commanders at the Fort Knox Army Base in Kentucky dropped Nugent from a June 23 concert series bill because of his comments.
Meanwhile, Nugent agreed to plead guilty to transporting a black bear he illegally killed in Alaska three years ago during filming of his cable TV series “Spirit of the Wild.”
Under the deal, Nugent agreed to pay a $10,000 fine, remain on probation for two years, avoid hunting or fishing in Alaska or Forest Service properties for one year and film a public service announcement to run during his show for a year.
