Zac Brown’s Southern Ground

A downtown amphitheatre in Fayetteville, Ga., should get a shot in the arm thanks to a rebranding and partnership with Zac Brown, who is building a youth summer camp nearby.

The 1,500-capacity Villages Amphitheatre is renamed Southern Ground Amphitheater, and will be the beneficiary of high-profile special events related to the camp of the same name.

Southern Ground youth camp is expected to open in 2014 at a site between Fayetteville and Peachtree City, south of Atlanta. The shed will also be used for camp-related events, according to the Fayetteville Citizen.

The partnership with Brown and the youth camp is expected to drive more visitors to city hotels, restaurants and retail businesses as well as benefit the camp.

Southern Ground Amphitheatre kicks of its 2012 season June 9 with Travis Tritt.
