Hockeytonk Fans Fire Up Predators

Carrie Underwood may be married to the top center for the NHL’s Nashville Predators, but she’s certainly not the only famous hockey fan in Music City.

The team recently made it to the Western Conference semifinals for the second year in a row and some of country’s finest have been coming out to help cheer the Predators on with something the team has dubbed “hockeytonking.”

Fans like Dierks Bentley, Keith Urban, Reba, Vince Gill, Martina McBride and Wynonna have all been sighted at games.

And while some of those artists have even performed with Bridgestone Arena‘s house band during intermission, Bentley went so far as appearing in a video for the team alongside Predators captain Shea Weber. He also is attending away games during the Predators’ series against the Phoenix Coyotes.

Underwood is scheduled to be on the road promoting her new album and might miss most of the Predators’ upcoming games. But if her husband’s team makes it to the finals, she told the AP all bets are off.

“I would start canceling stuff,” she said. “I’m not going to lie. I do not cancel things ever. We are always good about making plans, keeping plans and I don’t mind working so, but I would cancel things for the Stanley Cup.” But, right now, the Predators have a hole to climb out of, with the Coyotes taking the first two games of the series.
