Mystic Scales Back

Mystic Amphitheatre is being scaled back in its second summer by about 25 percent from a capacity of 8,357 to about 6,300 seats.

The shed is part of Mystic Lake Casino’s property in Prior, Minn. The lineup for the temporary shed is being reduced, too, down to about five events this year as the casino reconsiders plans to build a permanent structure.

Mystic reported six shows in 2011, including Carrie Underwood, The Beach Boys, Stevie Nicks, Alan Jackson and Jason Mraz.

Expected to perform this summer are Heart and Joan Jett, Kid Rock and comic/ventriloquist Jeff Denham.
